Previously, adding emoji icons to the Windows 11 taskbar required downloading and installing third-party applications. However, with the latest Windows 11 update, Microsoft now offers an option to show or hide the “Emoji and More” icon on the system tray.

On Windows 11, you can quickly access the emoji picker by pressing the Windows + . or Windows + ; hotkeys. However, with the latest update, Microsoft now allows you to access the emoji picker directly from the taskbar system tray.

How to Show Emoji and More Icon on Taskbar in Windows 11

If your PC or laptop works on the Windows 11 OS and you want to bring the emoji panel on the taskbar, then it is very easy. For this, make sure your computer is updated to the latest version of Windows.

To add the emoji panel icon to your taskbar:

Press Windows + I to Quicky Access Settings.
Click on Personalization > Taskbar.
Click on Dropdown Arrow Next to System Tray Icons.
Click on Dropdown Arrow Next to Emoji and More.
Now Select While Typing or Always.

Note: If you select ‘While Typing’, the emoji icon will appear on the taskbar as soon as you start typing. If you select ‘Always’, the emoji icon will be permanently visible on your taskbar.

How to Hide Emoji and More Icon on Taskbar in Windows 11

If you have kept the emoji icon enabled on your taskbar for some time, but for some reason now you want to remove it from the taskbar, then this is possible. For this, you just have to follow the steps given below one by one.

To remove the emoji panel icon from your taskbar:

Right Click on Emoji Icon at Taskbar and Click on System Tray Settings.
Click on Dropdown Arrow Next to Emoji and More.
Now Select Never.
