How to Switch Instagram Account from Public to Private on Phone
When you create a new Instagram account, the account is public by default. And you can change it as per your convenience. If you are an Android or iPhone user and want to convert your personal account or Instagram business profile to private, then follow the steps given below.
To change your account from public to private on Instagram app:
1. Update Your Instagram App and Open It on Your Phone.
2. Go to Your Profile Section and Tap on Three Lines (☰) at Top Right.
3. Tap on Account Privacy Under the ‘Who Can See Your Content’ Section.
4. Tap on Toggle Switch Next to Private Account.
5. Tap on Switch to Private.
As soon as you complete all the above steps, your Instagram profile will go from public to private. And apart from your followers, other Instagram users won’t be able to see your photos, reels, and stories.
