Telegram Translations are Currently Disabled! How to Fix
Telegram’s translation is a cool and useful feature that lets you translate messages into your preferred language directly in the app, breaking down language barriers in conversations. However, for the past few days, both manual and auto-translate have stopped working in Telegram.
Some users on Reddit and X say that whenever they try to translate a chat, they see a pop-up message on the screen, “Telegram translations are currently disabled.” If you’re also facing this issue, don’t worry! You’re not alone.

Note: This issue is from Telegram’s side, and the good news is that they have acknowledged it. They have publicly addressed this on X, where they mentioned that:
“The translation feature is temporarily unavailable while we make some technical fixes. We apologize for the inconvenience – it should be available again soon. 👍”

Fix ‘Telegram Translations are Currently Disabled’ Problem
As I mentioned above, Telegram has acknowledged this issue and stated that they will fix it. However, sometimes even after the team resolves the issues, the problem may persist in your app. In such a case, you need to take some steps from your side, which I mention below.
#1. Update Your Telegram App
Sometimes, even after Telegram resolves certain issues, the problem may still persist in your app. In such cases, you need to update your Telegram app to the latest version, as the new version fixes all the previous issues.
If you are an Android user, then update your Telegram app from the Google Play Store, and if you are an iPhone user, then update your Telegram app from the Apple App Store as soon as possible.
#2. Wait for Some More Time
If you’ve updated the Telegram app but the translation feature still isn’t working, it means Telegram hasn’t resolved the issue yet. It might take some more time, so you’ll need to wait a little longer.
Please keep checking the Play Store and App Store for Telegram updates. If an update is available, update it quickly and verify whether the Telegram translation is working properly.

I used the update for IOS. And now the translation option has disappeared entirely in Language settings.
Telegram dropped the translator function because of legal issues I canceled my premium subscription just because of incredible bad communication
Where did you hear this?
They turned off translation it got nothing to do with the update
Yes, a friend told me they updated and it is completely gone. We are now over a week without the translation feature that users with telegram premium pay for. There is no response from the volunteer chat regarding the issue or reimbursement. The question is what type of issue could cause a problem for this long, why is it gone in the update, and how are they not addressing the premium users who pay for this feature. Something is not right here. Very suspicious.
I think a class-action lawsuit needs to be filed right now. Think about how many million of dollars Telegram has taken from Premium subscribers. If you’re like me, translations, especially translating the entire chat, is one of the main reasons I purchased the seemingly “not-so-Premium” option.
It is totally unacceptable for it to take Telegram this long to fix a simple issue like built-in translations, and without ANY COMMUNICATION to their paying-customers! Class Action suit needs to be filed, all of us need to get our money back, and then leave this garbage app and switch over to a different messenger app that doesn’t suck as bad a Telegram does.
