Instagram has several content filter settings to maintain the safety of users, and one of them is sensitive content. By adjusting the sensitive content settings, you can prevent adult content from appearing on your Instagram Explore, Reels, Feed, and Hashtag pages.

To control Instagram’s sensitive content settings:

1. Open Instagram and Go to Your Profile Section.
2. Tap on Three Lines (≡) Menu at Top Right Corner.
3. Tap on Content Preferences.
4. Tap on Sensitive Content.
5. Now Select “Less” Option.

#2. Filter Specific Words or Phrases

Sometimes adult content can come through comments or direct messages (DMs), and to block this, you can use Instagram’s built-in filter setting, which is also known as “Hidden Words”. You can deal with unwanted content on Instagram by filtering out certain words or phrases.
