Method 1. By Message Yourself Feature
The new WhatsApp update has a Message Yourself feature, which lets you chat with someone and view their profile photo without saving their number. This is one of the simplest and most instant methods. For this, just update your WhatsApp and follow the steps given below.
To view profile pic on WhatsApp if number is not saved:
- Open WhatsApp and Tap on Contact “+” Icon at Bottom Right Side.
- Tap on Your Own Number Under the Contacts on WhatsApp Section.
- Now, Type that Unknown Number and Hit Send Button.
- Next, Tap on Number And Select Chat with +9170********.
- Tap on Their Number at the Top.
- Tap on Profile DP to Enlarge It.
That is all! Now the full WhatsApp profile picture of the number you entered has opened in front of you.
Method 2. Using Truecaller App
Did you know that the Truecaller app also allows users to view someone’s profile picture without saving the number? However, for this, you must have the Truecaller app installed on your phone. After this, follow the steps given below.
To check WhatsApp DP using Truecaller:
- Open Truecaller App on Your Phone.
- Dial the Phone Number of Person You Want to Check WhatsApp DP.
- If They’ve a Truecaller Account, It’ll Show Their Name. Simply Tap on Their Name.
- Scroll Down and Tap on WhatsApp.
- Now, It will be Redirected to the WhatsApp Chat Window.

In this third method, we will see the profile DP of an unknown WhatsApp number online. A web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Opera) will be required for this.

- Open Any Browser on Your Phone.
- Now, Type the Link “http://wa.me/91xxxxxxxxxx” and Press Enter.
Note: 91 is Country Code and Replace "XXXXXXXXXX" with Someone's Number.
- Next, Tap on Continue to Chat.
- It will be Redirected to the WhatsApp Chat Window.
- Tap on Their Number at the Top.

Method 4. Using Third-Party App
There is a “Click to Chat” app for Android that can help you view anyone’s WhatsApp DP in just one tap. This app is very small in size and absolutely free. For this, follow the steps given below.

- Open Click to Chat App on Your Phone.
- Enter Correct Country Code, Enter the Number and Tap on Open.
- It will Redirect You to a WhatsApp Chat Window.
- Tap on Their Number at the Top.
